Do beauty editors need to know how to apply Makeup?

I want to know if it's a plus that someone knows how to apply makeup to become a beauty editor or is it a requirement? How can I start sharpening my skills in order to become a beauty editor? Should I learn about all the different Makeup Brushes and colors?

if you want to be a beauty editor, you'll have to have a wide, wide, wide range of skills and a LOT of drive. it'll be a lot of hard work to get to that high up at a big magazine

if you are in college now, i'd suggest getting a double major in journalism (or communications) and fashion.

on the side, i would learn everything you can about fashion, makeup, writing, graphic design, photoshop, women's issues, skincare, etc! basically, the more you know about what is important to your reader and how to execute the idea from the technical magazine side, the more likely you'll be to achieve your dreams.

Where is the best place to learn to apply makeup for cheap?

I don't wear much makeup at all, but have a small collection. The rules for wearing makeup which I thought were okay for church got me labled a "Drag Queen" by my sister in law. Since then I've not figured out the right way to wear Make Up, what colors I should be in, or what I should buy. How can I get these answers for my dishwater blond, fair skined aged 31 person that I am? Also when my kids are of age (who are not old enough yet) to wear makeup, where should I send them so they get the right advise about how to apply it etc. This is one mother who is clueless for both herself and in about 4-5 years for my oldest who would then be old enough to start wearing it. Please help and let me know if I should learn at the mall or a drug store? I really need help with this.

If you go to Macy's or Bonton (they both sell Clinique) they will do your makeup for you and show/tell you tips and ideas. They do it for FREE to try and get you to buy the make-up, but you're not obligated. It's great because you can actually see & hear a professional do it.

There are also a ton of youtube videos that do this--my favorites are Tricia Sawyer below because she gives a TON of tips and tricks.

How To Make An Application A Passport Replacement

There will come a time when passports need to be renewed or replaced. They can be renewed if they are about to expire or have already expired but not for more than five years. It is also suggested to get a passport replacement when they are worn out. Lost and stolen passports and those that have unauthorized alterations need to be replaced. They can bring a driver's license or any government issued ID. When their papers have passed inspection, they will pay for the processing fee. There are two kinds of applications. Those who want a faster process can choose the expedited application. This costs more than the regular application. A regular application will finish in four to six weeks while the faster application takes at least three weeks to process.

Five to seven days after applying, it becomes possible to inquire how far their transaction has moved. There is a web based tracking app for this and all it requires is the last name of the applicant, his date of birth and the last four digits of his Social Security Number.

Owners should make a resolution to take better care of their new passports once they are delivered by express courier service. Extra care is warranted because the document has now a microchip embedded in its cover. This chip contains his biometric data.
