Is it good to keep a dog locked up in the garage all day every day?

If it's warm and the dog has food and water and the dog is still getting exercise - so for example, someone is keeping their dog in the garage while they are in work - I see no problem with it.

ADD: I think we all have different ideas on the set-up for a garage when you are keeping a dog in it.
I know 2 people that do this and their cars don't go in the garage at all, there is absolutely nothing in the garage except dog stuff.

I mean if someone is keeping their dog in a garage that is filled with normal car stuff and other crap you usually throw in a garage then of course it is too dangerous to keep a dog in it.
