Do you think it is ok for a child to wear a little makeup for special events?

My daughter is two, she actually turns three on new years day. I let Sofie wear a little makeup at Christmas. She just wore a light pink eyeshadow, concealer and sparkly Lip Gloss. She only had the concealer on her bruise on her forehead and she begged me to 'make it go away'. I was thinking letting her wear a little for new years as well but I'm worried people might think I'm dressing my daughter up like she is a doll when it's actually something she likes having done. She likes dressing up as a princess and have her makeup done like a princess. She still knows I think she is beautiful without the makeup, I still tell her everyday she is beautiful even with her bruises from when she decides to head butt things. I'm not trying to make her look older than she is. I do put my foot down with it when she is trying to take it too far.

My 2.5 year old loves makeup too, I just give her an empty makeup container and a clean Makeup Brush. She feels like she's getting to use makeup too, but her face is still clean and innocent. Leave makeup for when she's a teenager. Sure it's fun, but kids grow up too fast. No need to speed it up any further.

Dollfies... I'm New to Them?

I've been looking at dollfies recently and have been contemplating getting one or not.
It's not the case where I want to know where to buy them or purposes, etc...
It's more of my curiosity as to, when you order a doll, what exactly comes with it? Will you just get the body and the head, no makeup (unless you ordered it)?
And how do you know what's compatible with their sizing? (IE - If particular pants with fit, etc.)
I've never seen one in real life, so if I do wind up buying, undoubtedly I'd be incredibly nervous. So if you have any advice for me with buying, etc, that'd be great too.
Thanks guys.

My wife collects Madame Alexander dolls for about 25 years. The dolls come in various sizes 6,10 inch and larger. They come with a specific name and dress. All the dolls bodies and faces are the same. The only things that are different is Eye Color, hair color and the outfit they are wearing. They also came with a stand but I can't remember if the stand had to be purchased.
These dolls started at a price of about 100 dollars 5 years ago for the 6 inch size.
There is not to much else to know about buying these dolls except have a pocket full of money. You can go to Madamealexander .com and see if this is the type of doll you are looking for.
