ps when i buy different kinds of fruits like orange, grape, berries etc?
ps when i buy different kinds of fruits like orange, grape, berries etc and grind all of em togedaand start drinking it. is it still healthy or will it be poisoned to the body? i dont like chewing fruits.
Think about it - it's not going to be poisonous, is it, seriously? A food which is fine to eat as it is is still the same food if you liquidize or juice it or whatever, it's just in a different form. Why would you be able to buy juicers etc if they made fruit poisonous? Jeez.

What causes spots on my grapes?
I have white seedless and red seedless grape vines that I planted last year and thought I did everything by the book even trimming them and thinning the fruit back. The grapes are growing to half the size of maturity for this time of the year which is good and then on certain vines they're getting black spots on them also on the leaves and they start to whither away. Is It a disease and what can I do? I have eight different grape vines some are very healthy and it's doing it to two of them now.
Hey Bob,
This assumes that this is what you described, there are other possibilities, so you need to see if the following applies to your grapes. The second sounds similar (web site 2 below), but is different, (Anthracnose). This web site also discusses the 'black rot'.
Black rot, a foliar and fruit disease of grapes is considered to be the most serious disease of grapes in all areas where it occurs, including Oklahoma. All of the new growth can become infected during the growing season. The greatest number of infections, however, occur during the spring.
On leaves, the black rot disease appears in late spring on the upper surface as definite necrotic (dead) spots which are at first circular and red. Later, the spots are visible on both sides of the leaf. As the spots enlarge, their margins become black and the red spots turn brown. At this time the spots may be irregular in shape. After the spots cease growing, they may be about 1/4 inch in diameter. Also, small black dots, asexual fruiting structures begin forming. Infection spots (lesions) usually do not appear on fruits until after they are half grown. The first symptom is the appearance of very small whitish areas on developing green fruit. These are soon surrounded by a rapidly widening brown ring, giving a bird's eye effect. As the fruit rots, black sexual fruiting bodies begin to form. Later the rotted fruits become black, studded mummies.
Pruning of vines removes much infected tissue, but the pruning action causes old fruit mummies to fall to the ground, thus providing them an advantageous environment to stay wet for long periods, thus aiding spore production. Cultivation which throws soil over the mummies prevents release of spores. Weed control and proper pruning provide good air circulation, thus keeping foliage dry and protected from fungus infection. Many grape cultivars have some resistance but still require a few applications of recommended fungicide sprays during wet periods. Cultivars that have large fruits or mature early in the season are the most susceptible.
Grape Growing,Nine Steps To Do
After reading the nine steps below you will surely have a good understanding on how to grow grapes
Grape Growing
Growing grapes at home is a process that could be divided in a few steps. Some are common to all types of culture, others are specific to grape growing.
The Land Is Paramount
It all begins with the land itself which will affect all other aspects of grape growing. After selecting the land, it is time to choose the type of grape vine. Your selection is made in regards of the climatic and environmental conditions where the land is situated. It is easy. There is a bank of hundreds of grape varieties ready for you to choose from.
The Soil
Second to the land is the soil itself. Soil gives the food that the vine will feed on from nutrients and water. The soil permits the roots to find solid foundation. The soil type, once analyzed will reveal its pH level and the nutrients needed to grow a healthy vine. The grape vine at the end will have its quality defined by the land, the soil type and the general environmental conditions.
The Best Organic Fertilizers
Organic nutrients are very popular in our days. Grape growing industry is lucky because one of its favorite and commonly used fertilizer is manure. Manure is a natural source of hydrogen and the dosage can be determined in regard of the amount of nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium needed by your vineyard soil.
Why The Cover Crops
It is a good practice today, before planting the vines, to seed what is called a cover crop. And not just one but two. The temporary and the permanent one. All this to help the vine growth. Cover crops prevent the vineyard soil to erode and keep it loose. It also prevent weed pests. It also simplify the job for the grape carer, which is a good thing.
Designing The Vineyard
Believe it or not, some artistic considerations have their place in designing a vineyard. But some rule can not be ignored. Remember that the vine needs sun, water and good drainage. A good design consists of a plan so the rows take advantage of all the sunlight available. So no trees, walls or buildings in the vineyard vicinity. You will notice that vineyard are often situated on a hill. This provides good drainage.
The Best Layout
Amongst two choice for vineyard layout, square and rectangular, the best one for beginners is the later.
It is common knowledge that the rectangular layout is at the end more productive. This layout accommodate longer budding vines and in return these vines produce more grapes.
Second, the preferred rectangular layout is easier to work for the grape grower. Inspections and maintenance are easily done then. The farming machinery can also move more freely around the vines without damaging them.
Thinning The Shoots
The grape grower will arrange the shoots in a way that stimulates the grapes growth instead of the leaves. This is the shoot tinning or pruning operations. This will help the vine growing larger. And a larger vine means more grapes. So the vineyard will be more productive.
The Winning Cultivar
A healthy and generous cultivar will be a winner. The best cultivar for you is the one that produce the type of grape you want or need. Do you intend to cultivate grape as a food or as a wine maker. Despite the need to select the right grape variety for your region, do you grow grapes for your own needs or do you have commercial intents. Answering those questions will help you choose the winning cultivar.
At the end, the winning cultivar will be the one that will left you with grapes in abundance. Realize then that you will be the real winner here with delicious and beautiful grapes in your hands. And you should thanks cheerfully mother nature for that.
Think Small: Why Small-Batch Champagne Is Better (weblogsinc)
Filed under: Food and Drink, Europe, France
There's a quiet revolution underway in Champagne. A grape-accented battle
against the goliaths of the bubble-laced industry. It's called terroir, that
mostly untranslatable French word that refers to the influence of soil and
weather on wine (it's also creeping into the food world too).
Big Champagne doesn't really have any terroir. It's one soiled little not-so-
secret aspect of the Champagne industry: that the grapes used by the big guys
--- Moet & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot, for example --- don't come from just
one vineyard. They come from All Over the Champagne region, as many as 1,000
different places. Which is fine. Champagne like Veuve are great thanks to
technique. But, like wine, if you want to really taste the influence of the
area (or how the terroir has shaped the taste), it's not going to happen.
That is, until now.
